Planning the Funeral Liturgy
Funerals may be scheduled at 10:00 AM, Tuesday through Saturday. Funerals are not permitted on Sundays or on the days of the Paschal Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, or Holy Saturday). When a funeral Mass has been scheduled, a Bereavement Minister or Staff member will be assigned to contact and assist families in planning the sacramental details of the liturgy (scripture, music, programs). Selecting Scripture Readings and Music
Families are permitted to select scripture and music which is appropriate for the Liturgy. While the choices are many, we have a packet which will assist you by offering suggestions of the most popularly selected scripture passages and hymns which have proven to be spiritually enriching, comforting and appropriate.
