St. Al’s is looking for young men and women to serve in the ministry of altar server. The age group that is eligible to serve is 4th grade and older. Servers carry the cross, the processional candles, hold the book for the priest celebrant when he is not at the altar, present the bread, wine, and water to the priest during the preparation of the gifts or assist him when he receives the gifts from the people, washes the hands of the priest before consecration, and other duties as seen necessary by the priest or deacon.
If any student of St. Aloysius School would like to participate in this ministry, please contact Mr. DeAtley. If you belong to St. Al’s, but do not go to the school and would like to be an altar server, please contact our Family of Parishes deacon, Deacon Mark Madden, at 513-706-4757.
